High-quality design at high value — born out of the municipal water and wastewater world, now serving clients across the civil and structural engineering market.
Moss Partners Design is a Georgia professional engineering firm and the joint venture of Benjamin and Gina Moss — both licensed Professional Engineers who became engineers for the same reason: to serve their communities. We were born out of the municipal water and wastewater world, the part of civil engineering that quietly keeps communities healthy, and we carry that same standard of care into every project we take on.
Today we design across the civil and structural market — water and sewer infrastructure, foundations, retaining walls, and residential structural engineering — pairing rigorous, science-driven analysis with a real commitment to value. Benjamin, a former Fluid Mechanics professor and a board member of the Georgia Section of AWWA, loves the science beneath the work and explains the “why” behind every recommendation, so you can make confident decisions.
From municipalities to homeowners, the standard is the same: clear, defensible, buildable engineering.
Water main and sewer extensions, basis of design reports, specifications, and bid-ready construction documents — guided through Georgia EPD and local regulatory review.
Foundation design and bearing-capacity analysis, plus independent foundation inspections and remediation recommendations for residential and light commercial structures.
Beam and member design (including LVL and engineered lumber), retaining walls, pavilions and outdoor structures, and residential structural design.
Objective, code-referenced inspection reports for owners and builders, documented with photos, findings, and clear recommendations.
Basis of Design Reports, engineering letters, specifications, and construction administration to keep projects moving from concept to completion.
Tell us what you’re building — every project starts with a conversation.

A water main and sanitary sewer extension delivered as a complete package — Basis of Design Report, specifications, and bid-ready drawings to current EJCDC and Georgia EPD standards, balancing hydraulic performance, constructability, and regulatory review.
Design of an onsite wastewater system — correspondence with the reviewing authority, specifications, a Basis of Design Report, drawings, and construction administration — working within site-specific soil and layout constraints.
An independent foundation inspection paired with a bearing-capacity Basis of Design Report and supporting calculations — measuring what the soil could actually carry and delivering clear, defensible recommendations.
A third-party engineering inspection of an active residential construction project, documented with extensive site photography and a detailed, code-referenced report and recommendation letter.
Engineered design of a laminated veneer lumber (LVL) beam system for a residential structure, including a stamped design report and load calculations from manufacturer design properties.
Structural design of an outdoor pavilion, engineered for wind and gravity loads with careful attention to connection detailing and long-term durability.
We’re looking for people who became engineers to actually serve their communities.
Design and analysis across civil and structural projects — calculations, drawings, specifications, and Basis of Design Reports, with permitting and construction support. B.S. in Civil/Structural; EIT (PE-track) preferred.
Field inspection for conformance with plans, specs, and code; documentation with photos and reports; QA/QC from groundbreaking to completion. Construction/utility or structural inspection experience.
Lead projects from proposal through delivery — scope, schedule, budget, client communication, and coordination of design and field teams. PE preferred; proven delivery track record.
